Spring potted peonies that we will have for sale. Prices are listed by each description. Most are large 2-3 gallon size, only Sara B. got chopped up smaller, into gallon size. My brother was here from Texas over the weekend, and asked "why are some more expensive than others?" Good question. Here's the answers:
- they are likely more expensive when I buy them
- they are likely newer on the market, so supply and demand
- they may not be as productive, so less divisions per year
- new colors or types always cost more, like corals in peonies
- bigger plants in general cost more, as someone has cared for them a long time. For instance a 2-3 gallon size peony, has been under someones care for 2-3 yrs., verses 8 weeks for a petunia! And.... your peonies will likely out live you, now that's a bargain!
